Customer questions & answers
Question: I live in KS and we can have huge snow storms. Will the plastic hold up under a foot of snow? Thanks
Question: what is the roof made of??Answer: Be very careful, instructions clearly tell you a certain side must be facing the sun and have stickers identifying each side and stating do not take off sticker until installing, our installer who peeled off most of the stickers and were putting them up not knowing (I could not tell the difference by looking or touching the polycarbonate). We still have a 1/2 built gazebo ruining our patio that Amazon has been giving us the runaround, many of the screws have been stripped out, installers kept complaining how things didn't light up and had to use a drill to force in (instructions clearly say hand tighten) been 1/2 built now for over 5 weeks, Amazon finally said they wont charge for the installers, but still have a damaged 1/2 built gazebo on my deckQuestion: can you temporarily remove a couple side panels after building it? I want to build it before putting the hot tub in it.Answer: Well technically you could...but consider if the unit was completely assembled you'd have to take sections of the roof panel and rafters apart in order to slide the connection pieces back up and out...the connectors are as long as the panels are and slide in from the top...I assembled my 12x18 around the spa with no problem...I had access to a couple of furniture dollies to put under the spa and left the spa on the dollies during assembly...this allowed me to move the spa from side to side as I needed for room. Also note, as other mentioned the hardest part was the center roof support, I had access to a drywall hoist which made this job a complete solo accomplishment (including pouring the 20x14 cement pad)...and I'm 60 years young...2 days to assemble...I will also say having a LEVEL base makes the assembly super easy...the majority of the panel connectors literally slid in by gravity, I probably spent 30 minutes on the first one assuming I was doing something wrong...but the base was perfectly level and once the connector is in the grooves and starts going on they just slid down...a few I had to give a little push, but at no time did I ever need a rubber malletQuestion: is there 1 door on the front and 1 door on the side..thus making it having 2 doors?
Answer: Hi Jane, we live just outside New York City and have already experienced a winter season with more than a foot of snow. This solarium is not called an all-season solarium for nothing! It fared very well. We have a fire pit inside and spend cold snowy days very comfortably toasting marshmallows. Rest assured, a foot of snow is no problem at all.
Answer: There are two doors - one that fits the long side and one that fits the short side (length and breadth). You can decide which side you wish to place them. Once you have assembled all the wall pieces you can then decide where you wish to have your access. The answer is YES - THERE ARE TWO DOORS. -

I have to say we love this Solarium! I had to wait a while to put it up as I had to lay the cement pad and run the electrical for the spa. assembly was very easy and thanks to a nice level area many of the connector pieces for the wall panels simply slid all the way down by gravity. I assembled this thing by myself...I'm 60 and it was a piece of cake...I will admit I had access to a drywall hoist to hold the center roof support in place while i put the rafters on
L**aLove it. Windows are just a film not Plexiglas but the performance has been very good. Using it on a daily basis and have not complaints.
R ****nThis Solarium was a great buy for us. It came undamaged upon delivery in 4 boxes that were pretty big and heavy, but my wife and I were still able to move them around to where we wanted them. All the materials were present. The directions were mostly straight forward, though there were points where we had to take a second or third look at things to make sure that we had all the pieces in the correct order and placement. It definitely has to be assembled on flat ground and absolutely has to have two people to do the work safely. Some of the roof pieces were difficult to get into place and we had to redo and shift around the ceiling fastenings through trial and error to make sure that they all fit evenly. Getting the doors to slide smoothly was the hardest part. The whole project definitely took some fine tuning and shifting around to make sure that the building settled properly into place, but once it was all done, it was really worth it. It is not airtight by any means. There is a gap between the roof and the walls, but that allowed us to run electricity into it without having to make a hole in the material.
Ba*****psyI've had this up about a week or so, and so far I love it. It took my husband 2 half days to put it together-- but he is pretty handy. I helped him hold some wall pieces here and there. He also built himself a "frame" out of scrap wood to use as a brace when he was assembling the roof. Normally I would say it's probably a two person job. Be sure you get the wall panels in the right place the first time, or it's a real hassle to try to take them apart again! We had a rain storm during assembly and right after fully assembled. Unfortunately it got quite wet inside. But it was heavy rain! We assembled the gazebo on a solid cement patio. We have now used clear caulk around the bottom both inside and outside the gazebo. We'll see how it goes when the next rain comes. However, the instructions do say this is not a "waterproof room". BummerWe've even now installed an air conditioner in one of the windows. (It gets hot here)... we built a simple wood frame to set it on outside, removed the screen from one panel, and set the window air conditioner in, just like you would in a house window. (To remove one of the screens, you have to take out both of the plastic windows, and remove two screws at the top of the screen.)The look of the gazebo is excellent. It looks very nice and classy. I had first received a quote from a builder to build a similar one to this on my back patio (a permanent structure gazebo)
J**kExcellent excellent excellent. Very well made. It took 3 guys plus 1 for 1/2 day to get it done by following the instructions. We feel it is the best purchase we have made v in a long time!
1H*****ManThis product is constructed with very modern materials and design. I use it to house my spa and built it over my concrete patio. I've had it for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. I will continue to update this review as the product ages.Pros-#1 Price- Considering other alternatives this product is a cheap way to get substantial shelter.#2 Low maintenance- No repainting or refinishing required.#3 Versatility- I use it for my spa but it can be configured in endless ways for many uses. It easily goes from fully closed up to fully screened. All and all we are ecstatic with this purchase. It's a great way to protect our new spa from the elements. I mounted a TV on the wall and put a real nice patio sofa inside. It makes for a wonderful retreat right in our own backyard. It will also be much more enjoyable to take a spa in the winter because it will trap hot air and block all wind. If you use it for a spa housing I would suggest water proof lighting. Condensation forms very quickly inside and could cause some real issues. I chose the lighting below. It was real easy to install and provides both white and colored mood lighting. Also no hassle to have to install a switch because of the remote.
All*******rezthe best thing i purchased so many compliments , that i have the best gazebo they ever seen
Jea*******rsonI love it and the other folks who bought it have been helpful with questions I've had. I'm still trying to keep out the last bit of rain that comes in through the floor. Otherwise, I really enjoy sitting out there.I put down Ikea snap together wood floor tiles and a portable a/c unit. Clean windows with Mr. Clean magic eraser pads and vinegar. Stick arm inside as much as u can and wipe with vinegar soaked pads. Helps to have skinny arms or a kid.
